Well, I see that the Democrats are going to use “jack-booted thugs” to quell the mobs at their townhall meetings. I mean after all, who it their right mind wouldn’t want the government to take over you health care decisions? Am I right? Yeah, right! LOL
The American people are finally coming out of their stupor and seeing that the great Messiah they elected into the White House is nothing more but another greedy politician. He and his party doesn’t have the public’s best interest in mind. All they care about is how to get more of the taxpayer’s money and get more control over the lives of the public.
It’s scary but the tactics they are using are reminiscent to those used in Germany all those not so many years ago. Are the unions and their members going to be the new SS? Or is this some more of that Chicago politics? Since when do politicians tell their party members that if they hit you then we will hit them twice as hard? Is this Al Capone talking or something? I just don’t get it. They are trying to shut down public opinion and give out false information just like Hitler did. They are already asking people to spy on each other and tell them when there is “misinformation” about the public health care policy that they are trying to push down our throats out there. Personally, I believe that every single time they are quoted in the papers or the policy is mentioned in the papers that those articles should be forwarded to the White House with a warning that misinformation is being given. Because the bottom line is the policy being proposed is misinforming the public. The President and the Democrats know it but they don’t care.
This is a group of people who couldn’t even predict correctly how long $1 billion dollars would last on the “Cash for Clunkers” program. They can give no firm figures on most of the programs they are trying to shove through and the waste of the TARP funds … don’t even get me started there. They are incompetent yet they are asking to be put in charge of our health care decisions.
This program they are touting sounds really good at first. But when you start to think about it the holes start to appear. Who is going to pay for all this? The money has to come from somewhere. Despite the fact that the politicians seem to think that money grows on trees it does not. It will come out of the tax payers’ pockets. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that only the “evil rich” will have to pay higher taxes for it. For the amount of money it’s going to cost (even their own accounting department says their numbers are wrong, by the way) everyone is going to have to pony up more dough. I personally feel that I pay more than enough in taxes, thank you very much. Just open the paper and you can read nightmare stories about the health care systems of Britain and Canada. About coverage being denied, treatment delayed for months, medicine being refused, surgeries denied and on and on and on. This is what they want to turn our health care system in to? Are they nuts!?!?!?! The answer to that is yes. Back to the paying for all this thing, it reminds me of a joke that is making the rounds via e-mail about economics and the few paying for the many:
An economic professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich – a great equalizer.
The professor then said “Ok, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan.”
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who had studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the third test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed. Could not be any simpler than that.
Just think on that little story. The government is trying to implement all these great programs for the good of all the public. These entitlement programs cost money and government doesn’t earn money so they have to get it from somewhere. The somewhere is from the working men and women of this great nation. Don’t even say that they will get it from the companies and corporations out there which mean you don’t understand how that works. Companies and corporations don’t pay taxes the stockholders, shareholders, members and owners do. All those earnings are shown on their personal tax statements and they pay taxes on those amounts. All these funds will be used to pay for programs for people who don’t work or don’t try to earn a living. Sometimes things happen and people need a little helping hand but there are too many people out there who take advantage of the helping hand and never get off it. At one time it was considered a stigma to be on welfare, now no one blinks at the implications and women keep on having children they can’t afford to get more money from the government so they don’t have to work. So with the government raising taxes on people they are taking away the reward associated with working hard and earning a living greater than their “standards”. So why would the hard workers want to continue to do it? Out of the goodness of their hearts? Would you want to be taken advantage of like that? Have the government take money you worked hard for and just hand it over to someone who won’t lift a hand to help himself/herself? Didn’t think so.
